Q. How does Rapidocs ActiveX work?
A. The ActiveX version of Rapidocs permits assembly of documents and forms within the web browser over the internet. The preferred web browser to use is Microsoft Explorer, version 5.5 or above, but you can also use Netscape 4.0 or
5.0. ActiveX does not work in Netscape 6.0 or 7.0 at this time. The preferred
browser is Microsoft Explorer 5.5 or above..

Q. Is there a download process for ActiveX?
A. The first time you use ActiveX, an ActiveX control will download into your web browser. The download is secure and will not affect any other files on your computer. The ActiveX control is what is known as a "plug-in", and simply adds additional capabilities to your web browser.

Q. Why won't my document open in ActiveX?
Below are several general troubleshooting tips which may
prove useful.
(1) You may wish to close your browser completely and again
attempt access to the documents within our site;
(2) The forms on our web-site are available through an
on-line Active X interface.This
interface will only work on PC's - the programming is not designed for Macintosh
computers;
(3) Your browser must be set to allow Active X applications
to run on your computer.Active X
applications can be powerful software sets.
Sometimes, viruses and hackers use Active X applications.
As such, most browsers install with Active X applications
"denied" as a default.If
you are skeptical about changing these security settings, we understand fully.
Unfortunately, these settings must be changed to access our documents.
To check or change these settings -- open the Options or
Security Options menus within your browser.
Within Internet Explorer: open the Tools menu, then Internet Options.
Choose the Security Tab, then the Custom level button.
Here you will see several "control" selections.
You may wish to set all of the Active X settings to "Prompt".
At this setting, your system will warn you each time an Active X
application tries to initiate.Your
browser will give you the option each time of whether you want to allow the
application or not.This setting can
be made for each option referencing Active X applications (there are about 4-6).
This setting will allow you the most control and flexibility.
(4) Some customers find that recent Netscape browsers have
difficulties with Active X applications which Internet Explorer does not.
If you have access to both browsers, please try them both to identify
which one works better for you.
(5) Firewalls
and other Internet security software sets can interfere with Active X
applications and interfaces.Likewise,
network proxy servers can also interfere. If
your computer uses these accessories, please disable them or use another
available system.

Q. Does this download process take long?
A. Depending upon the speed of your connection, this download can take anywhere from 1 to 4 minutes. Please be patient. This is a one time download. In the future, when you download a document, it will automatically load into your browser. And since these files are very small (about 10K), they download very quickly.

Q.
How do I edit my assembled document?
Some of our Active X products result in text pages being produced. The
clauses within these products have been designed with certain assumptions.
Sometimes there are very particular circumstances that our automated system
cannot accommodate. While our customers can only directly edit their
responses through the Questionnaires offered, there is an editing process which
can be used to edit any text or clause produced within the documents.
This process uses the Export function which is only available after
purchase of the document.
Export and Editing of the "finished" document:
(1) Complete your document to the best of your ability
using the Rapidocs software.
(2) Save your document often.
(3) Use the "Finish" button at the end of the
Questionnaire or the "Assemble/End Assemble" icon on the top left-hand
corner of Rapidocs Window. Either
selection will add or subtract the Questionnaire from the visual area.
(4) With the Questionnaire hidden, open the File menu.
(5) Choose to Export your document to either Word or RTF
format. Exporting your document will
send a copy of your document to your local computer.
(6) Once the document has been sent to your local computer,
open your new copy with either Microsoft Word or Corel Word Perfect.
(7) Use this software to edit any text or clauses within
your document. Save and Print your
forms whenever you wish.
